14 Day Weather Trend

Post by Aroc11 » Thu Mar 15, 2018 8:40 am

I hate to say it, but I almost wish we didn't get that blast of warm weather to ruin the ice. With temps hovering around 0 for the remainder of the month, if we still had ice it would be some pretty epic fishing right now. But now that it's gone the nicer weather couldn't get here faster. The water is going to be cold and dirty into April which is going to delay everything. I just hope this predicted trend is wrong and we get a nice warm blast in the next couple weeks to kick start everything into gear.

My thoughts exactly. With more than a foot of ice I was counting on ice fishing into late March to take advantage of some of the best ice fishing of the season.
In years past I have had some of my worse sun burns on my face sitting on the ice in late March filling my limit of beauty perch

Might be time to take a quick trip to Simcoe. Apparantly they still have 2 foot of ice! :o

Yep, wish I didn't put all of my gear away a few weeks back but at the time it was almost T-shirt weather and I was not a happy camper. Kind of did it out of spite........I should know better
